Correctional Officers are vital to fulfilling the mission of the British Columbia Corrections Branch, Adult Custody Division. With ten provincial Correctional Centres across British Columbia, our Correctional Officers can work in a variety of settings.

As the primary contact for inmates, Correctional Officers work directly with offenders. This gives Correctional Officers in-depth knowledge of an inmate's personality and behaviour, which is vital to maintaining the security of the institution. At the same time, this knowledge supports and assists in planning an inmate's successful reintegration into society.
