Heritage House Gifts started out as James Frames & Trophies in 1991 by Barb James. Originally operating as a home-based business we moved into our first retail location in the Bay Cedar Plaza in Cobble Hill in 1999. In 2000 we purchased long time Cowichan Valley trophy business, Trident Trophy, incorporated their strong tradition of customer service and moved forward from here. With this growth we added our first employee in 2000.
In 2005 we relocated the business to our current Brick & Mortar location in Duncan, BC. In 2006 Heritage House purchased their first Epilog Laser engraver.
In 2010, John retired after a 31 year career in policing and firefighting, and joined Barb in the business. In 2015 we expanded our business to incorporate our unique giftware line, expanded our shop to include the new phase of the business. We now have 4 laser systems incorporating the best laser engraving technology with our highly trained technicians. We use sustainable, locally sourced wood to make our pieces.
In 2021, Becky took over ownership from Barb and John James. She has worked at Heritage Gifts and Awards since 2006. Becky, a laser & machine engraving technician, also manages the day to day operations of the shop and takes care of the inventory and ordering.
Corbett joined our team in 2016. Corbett works as a laser & machine engraving technician and graphic designer.
